Camp is full, thank you for signing up!
Grace Rhoten & Madelyn Hart (Field Park grads!)
Campers will learn STEM concepts through fun baking activities!
Activities include: creating a DNA model, designing an algorithm to make a pie, learning the chemistry behind fudgy vs cakey brownies, building a cookie delivery car, and more!
On the final day, campers will apply their skills by designing and testing a recipe of their own creation, which parents are invited to come taste. Campers will also get to take home a booklet outlining each experiment, the science behind it, and any data they have collected.
Note: The camp is designed and run by high schoolers who have taken advanced STEM courses like AP calculus BC, AP biology, AP Physics, AP Environmental Science, robotics, AP computer science, and AP chemistry - but who also have younger siblings. We loved combing baking and science as kids, so this is the camp we wish we could have gone to (that's us in the photo back in 2018!) There will be a strong focus on creativity and fun while also educating kids on the scientific world.
$120 - One session
$200 - Both sessions (each session is different)
Session 1: June 23-27 SOLD OUT

All camps are held at a home in Western Springs near Field Park Elementary School (the address will be sent after registration) and are taught by experienced seniors at LTHS who love science and baking! All campers will make several projects every day and get to bring home many tasty treats. With two counselors, we will be able to run separate groups based on ability to ensure everyone is having fun and learning! Please contact us at thegracefulwhiskbakery@gmail.com with any questions!
